Describe the job so the first quotation is useful
Write a load brief that someone outside your business can follow. Include the actual collection and delivery points, who will be present and when the goods will be ready. State whether a forklift, loading bay or tail lift is needed and which party provides the equipment.
Describe packaging and handling constraints, including stackability and fragile items. If you attach photographs or documents, keep operational and contact information inside the secured job record. Confirm any changes to the brief before the carrier starts work.
